2025 Season ends

See you in 2026

As another summer is coming to an end, I reflect on the good, the bad, and the ugly that this season has brought my way. The long, sun-soaked days were filled with laughter and unforgettable moments, where friendships blossomed and memories were created under the warm glow of the sun. Yet, alongside those cherished experiences, there were challenges that tested my resilience—those moments of doubt and hardship that seemed to cast shadows on the brighter days. It’s essential to acknowledge the complex tapestry of emotions, where both joy and sorrow intertwine, reminding me that life is a beautiful blend of light and dark, and as I turn the page to autumn, I carry with me lessons learned and hopes renewed.

Oliver, the legendary feline overlord, made his grand exit in June, leaving a gaping chasm in our hearts that could probably fit a small car. He wasn’t just a pet; he was the actual king of the North Fork Hostel, reigning supreme and demanding treats like they were his royal decrees. With his playful shenanigans and soothing purrs, he became our unofficial therapist during life’s little crises. The riotous adventures and shenanigans we shared are now golden memories, and as we reminisce about his antics, we can’t help but chuckle at the mischief he stirred up and the endless companionship that has left us in stitches and smiles.

We had the pleasure of revisiting old friends and making new ones, sharing laughter and stories that warmed our hearts. Each encounter was a beautiful reminder of the connections we cherish, as we reminisced about fond memories while creating new ones that we would treasure in the future. The joy of rekindling these relationships and the excitement of meeting new faces filled our days with a sense of belonging, making every moment spent together truly unforgettable.

Of course, these words are not mine but AI’s – still the sentiment is here, the loss and sorrow real, the joy and wonder absolute, thanks for all those wonderful moments with you all at the North Fork Hostel!
